(WHATSAPP)ARENTLY NOT SO CRYSTAL CLEAR

about human interaction

WhatsApp is an excellent communication application used by millions of people the world over.  Despite some shortcomings and glitches, I personally favour this app over all of the other available ones.  It boasts concise functionality, clinical execution and clear user-friendliness.

But human life is so often anything but concise, clinical and clear.  Rather, it is complicated, complex and convoluted and it affects our interactions with one another.  In some simple way, our interactions can be compared to MESSAGES sent between senders and recipients on WhatsApp, and more accurately, SENT MESSAGES.  Amidst the messiness of our complicated, complex and convoluted lives, our interactions send clear messages which are automatically saved in storage.

Unlike WhatsApp, life does not offer a DELETE function, and since we’ve established that all interaction messages are SENT MESSAGES, there is plausibly, also no DELETE FOR ALL function.  We cannot simply delete our bad interactions with people, we have to fix it with follow-up behaviour-modified interaction in remorseful and restorative messages.

Also, unlike WhatsApp, life does not offer a DISAPPEARING MESSAGES TIMER which could be turned on to avoid interaction, and with it, absolve the responsibility for doing so.  We have a responsibility to manage our interactions with one another, because we cannot necessarily always oblige to all of the demands for interaction with each other.  However, management does not imply avoidance.  Interactions with people are not mere stored data points, they either build up or break down the inmost being of another human being.

And now that I have crushed plausible deniability with regards to operating life like WhatsApp, how about it — shall we implement more consideration, care and compassion when interacting with one another?

    Astutely observed, mother.
I think we should all have more consideration, care and compassion in general.
