Deep calls to deep

Inside my sorrow, I long for You
I long to see You, to hear You
I long for You to embrace me
And tell me I will be okay

Inside my longing, l cry to You
I cannot see You or hear You
I cannot feel Your embrace
I’m not okay, not right now

Inside my heart, I cry for them
I see them and I hear them
My embrace is not enough
I cannot make them okay

Inside my mind, they call to You
You see them, You hear them
You embrace them and use
My pen to make them okay

Inside my mind, I call to You
Make me see, make me hear
Use my arms and use my pen
To embrace and make them okay

Inside my soul, my hope is You
You see me and You hear me
You hold me, to never let me go
Only You can make me okay

Inside my spirit, Yours reside
I cry, I long, I call to You from
Deep inside my inner being to
Deep within Your Divine Depth

My heartfelt prayer to You, oh Lord my God. You are faithful and true. My hope is in You alone.

“My soul is downcast within me; therefore I will remember you from the land of the Jordan, the heights of Hermon—from Mount Mizar. Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and breakers have swept over me. By day the Lord directs his love, at night his song is with me— a prayer to the God of my life.”
Psalms‬ ‭42‬:‭6‬-‭8‬ ‭NIV‬‬
